Over five soul-stirring days you’ll discover iconic Africa – the smells, the sights, the sounds and the exotic animals that call it home. This is an unscripted adventure that’s worthy of a true African safari connoisseur.

Kruger National Park conjures up images of untamed nature and the name Singita is synonymous with conscious luxury, impeccable service and responsible style. Get ready to experience the very best of this wild, wild, world and for most, a life changing experience. You may come for the safaris, the lion prides, the close-encounters with leopards and the decadence of Africa’s safari lodges, but you’re guaranteed to fall in love and never want to leave.

Your journey starts with a landing on one of the most unique airstrips in the world – deep in the heart of Kruger, one of the world’s biggest national parks. A private transfer to your luxury game lodge doubles as a game watch as drivers deftly navigate the dirt tracks and animal herds en-route to your end destination, Sabi Sands – home of one of the world’s best-protected leopard populations.

In these parts there are no small, fenced-in camps, just 100% natural, untamed wilderness… and you.

Time moves at a slower pace and the setting sun turns the world fifty shades of orange. African legend tells how the sun turns into a rhinoceros at sunset, which is killed and eaten by the people in the west. They then threw the shoulder blade towards the east, where the sun turned into an animal again and started to rise in a never-ending cycle.

The analogy is fitting, as your evening sunset safari offers a glimpse of wildlife experiences yet to come. Birds rising in plume like formations against orange skies; rustling in the bushes; elephants lowing around water pools, endangered black rhino graze in groups of two and telltale yellow eyes that stare out at you from trees, behind shrubs and from the very tracks you bounce along.

The next four days are a heady blend of Safari R‘nR; close-encounter safari experiences; intimate bush walks; luxury bush suites with contemporary twists and impeccable service; big cats and the rest of the Big Five; cool climate cellars with exclusive reserves and limited edition blends; and Michelin-standard food - all set against some of the most incredible bush backdrops. It’s an experience that will slake your senses and it’s delivered in such effortless style. Keep your cameras at the ready and enjoy this wild ride.

Dreaming of spending a romantic holiday with your partner off the beaten track of Africa with the untamed nature, indulging in exotic candlelit dinners by the waterfront and watching a tangerine sunset from the deck of an elegant bush lodge.Kruger Park is pure nature and you can always expect excitement to be part of the experience. This tour offers the unique and bucket list-worthy opportunity to spot the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo), as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and springboks in their natural environments. Accompanied by wildlife experts, these excursions into the wilderness of Kruger Park present some of the world's best wildlife viewing opportunities.

Day 1:
Depart at 8.30am from Johannesburg on a scenic 5-hour drive to the entrance of the Kruger National Park. Upon entering Kruger National Park we drive all the way to the rest camp. Common animals you can expect to see on the first afternoon include impala, kudu, waterbuck, warthog, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, hippo, baboon, monkey and, hopefully, rhino, buffalo and possibly an elusive leopard or cheetah. We mostly use bungalows for accommodation, with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. Dinner will be prepared by your guide and may take the form of a traditional South African braai (barbecue), weather permitting. Alternatively, we may use the camp restaurant.

Days 2 and 3:
We rise early so we can be on the road as the sun rises in an open game viewer. This is the best time of day for game viewing as the animals are at their most active, and we are on the lookout for nocturnal animals like spotted hyenas returning to their dens for the day. On our drives we may stop at waterholes, view points or picnic sites, where you can get out and stretch your legs, and enjoy some refreshments. Breakfast is usually a mid-morning feast, enjoyed at a picnic site somewhere in the bush. There is no fixed schedule to keep, but usually we return to camp late morning, so you can spend the noon hours lazing around the pool or watching animals from the deck.

In the afternoon we embark on another exciting game drive. As the day cools down, the animals become more active again and game viewing becomes easier. We look for the Big 5 and all the other animals, birds and interesting plants we may find. The excitement of a game drive is that you never know what you will find, and each one is different. Perhaps we saw giraffe yesterday, but today we may see them drinking, or fighting, or eating from a thorn tree (without injuring themselves!) Your guide will be able to interpret the behaviour of the animals and share interesting stories and facts about the bush, which makes every drive that much more interesting.

We return to camp around sunset and enjoy another delicious dinner around the fire or in the lodge restaurant. As an optional extra, you can book a night drive with us in advance on one of the evenings. These are conducted on an open game viewing truck by one of the Kruger Park's rangers.

Day 4:
This morning we head out on a final early morning game drive. If we are lucky we may see wild dogs or another rare animal that we have not seen before. After breakfast, it is time to pack up and start heading back toward the gate, for the drive back to Johannesburg. We normally arrive back in Johannesburg between 4 pm and 5 pm, depending on the traffic.
