Your experienced wine guide will advise on vineyards to visit to meet your specific requirements be it a simple cultural wine tasting at various vineyards up to a more specific wine tour looking for exceptional wines to purchase or even with a business investment overview.

You start with our 3 hr tour, and as your tour progresses you and your guide can modify the itinerary as required. There are no constraints. You may go to as many vineyards as your time allows.


This tour is priced per vehicle for 1 to 6 guests and for 7 to 12 guests

Your experienced wine guide will discuss your wine and vineyard preferences as well as any specific objectives that you may have, prior to commencing the tour in order to put together the itinerary. 

The option is available to modify the program as you travel. Your experienced wine guide will chauffeur you throughout your tour enhancing all cellar door wine tasting experiences. This bespoke tour will visit as many wineries in the wine regions as you can fit into your preferred time. Your wine guide will recommend and arrange a lunch venue for you.

From an educational perspective, the full-day experience will provide an opportunity, subject to availability, for you to take a cellar tour, meet with the wine maker, assistant wine maker or viticulturist to get a personal perspective on the winery and its wine. We'll also recommend specialized tasting - wine with cheese, chocolate or similar

A variety of tractor routes, mountain climbs and open areas for a good canter.  The mountain areas offer breathtaking views and there are plenty of magnificent views from the trail.  

Tack is matched up to give both the rider and the horse a comfortable ride.  We mainly make use of McCllelan type trail saddles but English General Purpose saddles are available on request.  Hard hats are compulsory; you are welcome to bring your own although we do keep a supply in all sizes for those who prefer to travel light.  

Our horses are a variety of cross breeds that suit all terrain as well as the different levels of riders that they come in contact with.  They are schooled, well tempered animals that are very much part of the family here.  They are South African bred Boerperds, Friesian, Thoroughbred and Warmblood type crosses and suit almost everybody, from the beginner to the advanced rider.  The owner of Wine Valley Adventures bred most of the horses used in the trails so each of them has a full history and tales of their adolescent years as part of the different herds of almost 300 horses in total.  The main focus of their breeding program is to have a sound minded, attentive, brave horse that has good work ethics and great rideablility!  
Occasionally some of these precious steeds are for sale too.  PS: you might be riding a movie star too – many of our horses work regularly on movie and photo shoots.
