Take an unforgettable game drive through the park, watching out for famous Big Five animals, as well as endangered species like the ‘Aquila’ Black Eagle.

Leave the bright lights of Cape Town behind and set off to the Aquila Game Reserve by air-conditioned vehicle. After a journey of roughly two hours, you’ll arrive at this incredible, malaria-free game reserve in the heart of South Africa’s southern Karoo.

On arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and meet your field guide and embark on an open-vehicle game drive around the reserve.

Watch out for Africa’s famous Big 5 -- African elephants, Cape buffaloes, lions, leopards and rhinos – while touring the park, and learn from your guide how the phrase ‘Big 5' came to be coined. Plus, look out for hippos and giraffes.

After your game drive you will return for a delicious buffet-style lunch (included).

After lunch, visit the Eco Synergy Systems Centre, a creative space where guests can see first-hand water-wise vegetable growing. Eco Synergy is a grouping of projects that interconnect and are all reliant on each other.

You will then meet your host for the journey back to Cape Town, arriving in the evening.

Aquila Game Reserve is well known for its large natural wetland, and so the bird-watching opportunities here are plentiful. Home to more than 170 different species of bird, the park is actually named after the endangered Black Eagle (Aquila). Keep your eyes open as you explore the park and you might be lucky enough to see one!

See all the top sights along South Africa’s Cape Peninsula on this full-day tour from Cape Town. With a mix of independent sightseeing and guided visits, you’ll have the flexibility to do the things you want to do, plus learn about the region from your expert guide. Explore Hout Bay and take an optional boat trip to Duiker Island. Spend time at leisure in Cape Point Nature Reserve and visit Simon’s Town on the peninsula’s east coast – home to a colony of African penguins! On the drive back you will have time to stop for a walk at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Leave your Cape Town hotel by air-conditioned vehicle and head south along the Cape Peninsula to Hout Bay – a coastal neighborhood that sits roughly halfway between Cape Town and Cape Point. Now popular as an upmarket seaside resort, Hout Bay is a fishing village and has retained its friendly, small-town appeal. Enjoy time at leisure here – perhaps exploring independently or visiting nearby Duiker Island (own expense) to see its colony of gorgeous Cape fur seals.

Continue via Chapmans Peak to the southernmost edge of the Cape Peninsula at the far end of Table Mountain National Park to reach Cape Point Nature Reserve. With some time at leisure here, you can explore on your own or perhaps visit one of the reserve’s cafes for lunch (own expense). Time permitting, stroll down to Cape Point to see the actual tip of the peninsula where the Atlantic and Indian oceans collide (as per legend).

On the way back to Cape Town, visit Simon’s Town on the False Bay Coast for a look around and head to Boulder’s Beach (entry at own expense) to see the town’s cute colony of African penguins.

Return to your Cape Town hotel via the pretty towns of Fish Hoek and Muizenberg with your final stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens -- set at the foot of Table Mountain -- and explore its stunning grounds with your guide. Kirstenbosch grows vegetation and fauna that are totally unique to the Cape Floral Region and the site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. See the rare plants and trees on a walk around the Western’s Capes very own botanical wonderland.

Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a lover of natural beauty you'll be swept away on this wine tour to the famous Stellenbosch, Paarl Valley and Franschhoek wineries. Combining historic villages, stunning scenery and fabulous wines, this day trip will have your senses working overtime!

Leaving Cape Town you'll start the day with a visit to Paarl and the spectacular Paarl Valley. Here you can enjoy a wine tasting and cellar tour at one of the local estates.

The tour continues to the beautiful village of Franschhoek, deep in the Cape Winelands, surrounded by vineyards, verdant valleys and rolling mountains. Fantastic Cape Dutch Architecture remains preserved in the town thanks to restrictions that help retain the spirit of the original Huguenot  settlers. We will stop in Franschhoek for lunch (for guest's own expense) and another wine tasting at an excellent wine estate.

Then it's on to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa and the historic heart of the country's wine region. The final wine tasting will take place here at one of the well-known estates. The red grape variety Pinotage is unique to the area, but all the classics are represented here: Shiraz, Chardonnay and Semillon.

With the air scented with sweet grapes and the trees softly swaying in the wind, the Cape Winelands is a wine lover's paradise and a truly relaxing way to spend the day!

Please note: this tour may run in reverse.

With this Cape Town Super Saver you'll get two best-selling tours at one discounted price. Combine Cape Point with a Stellenbosch wine tour. You'll experience the Cape's highlights in one day and mix relaxing sightseeing with a little wine tasting for the perfect day out.

This fantastic combination tour offers the highlights of Cape Point and the Cape Winelands.

The tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburb of Sea Point and Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain Range. From here travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising over 17,300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here you can see a variety of wildlife that includes baboons, rhebok, Cape Mountain zebra, bontebok, and the elusive eland. The reserve is also one of the world's largest breeding grounds for tortoises. Bird-watchers, too, will find many fine species to observe.

The majestic coastline offers drama worthy of being called “Nature's Greatest Show”. You'll be able to see the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (as per legend), and may even feel the brisk wind that is dubbed the “Cape Doctor” for its presumed curative powers.

Following the coastline along False Bay, you’ll continue to the Stellenbosch Winelands, a magical place with spectacular scenery and a rich history dating back centuries. Stellenbosch is an architectural jewel with a gracious blend of 18th Century Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian buildings. Stellenbosch town is known locally as Eikestad, meaning “city of oaks”, because of the numerous oak trees that line its beautiful streets. Head for a wine tasting session at one of the historic wine estates in the Stellenbosch area before continuing on the scenic journey back to Cape Town.

Please note: The tour might include a trip back to Cape Town to collect additional guests for the second half of the tour. The tour may be operated in reverse direction.

Take a scenic drive down to the stunning Cape Point, part of the Table Mountain National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This half day tour is the easiest way to see some of the most spectacular scenery in South Africa, taking in the Chapmans Peak coastal road, Hout Bay Harbour, and the African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach.

Start your half day tour to the Cape Point by driving along the rugged Atlantic coastline with its towering mountains and white sandy beaches. Soon, you will arrive in Hout Bay, the historical harbour and fishing point, overlooked by the impressive Sentinal peak. From here, you will begin the spectacular coastal drive along the world-famous Chapmans Peak Drive (if open). This road hugs the near vertical mountain face between Hout Bay and Noordhoek.

Arriving at the Cape Point Nature Reserve, you will make your way down to Cape Point. This rocky outcrop was known as the Cape of Storms due to the number of vessels that were shipwrecked along the coastline. You will have the opportunity to walk to the old lighthouse at the Point.

Returning from Cape Point you will follow the coastal road along False Bay, through the historic navy base, Simon's Town. You will then have the chance to stop and view the world-famous African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach (at own expense & time permitting). Then pass through the popular holiday resort of Muizenberg before returning to the Cape Town City Centre.
